From the first moment I was introduced to Sara Palin there was something familiar about her. I simply could not figure it out. After setting this aside as some form of déjà vu it suddenly hit me.
MARTHA GENERIC!
Martha Generic was the mother from a cartoon in the 90s called Bobby’s World. This was the creation of Howie Mandel. Bobby is a 4 year old boy with an overactive imagination. The family lives in suburbia which could quite possibly be similar to Wasilla. His father is most definitely NOT a Joe Sixpack but does, however, sport a fabulously horrific curled up mullet. His mother is a loving stay at home mom with a litter of children from newborn to teen. Sound familiar? Just wait. It gets better.
As we’ve recently discovered, even the most typical housewife could some day claim to possess the goods needed to help rule the free world.
Meet Martha Generic. That is pronounced GEN-er-ic.
If you TRULY want a feel for the resemblance, watch even just the first 40 seconds of this video:

Uncanny!!!
I love it! Every time I hear Palin speak now, I giggle. Not that I didn’t snicker before- but that’s beside the point!
